TEMPORARY MUSEUM FOR NEW DESIGN
SUPERSTUDIO PIÙ
VIA TORTONA 27

Temporary Museum for New Design, the exclusive center of international design, built as a museum of excellence, to give space to the best projects by very renowned or significant names, precisely following the concept 'less fair and more museum', comes back for the second year in a row at Superstudio Più.
Superstudio Più is the historic location where everything began, the culture and quality center, the "hottest" spot of the Fuori Salone of via Tortona and adjacent areas, the focal center from which you can start to explore the neighborhood.

The Superstudio Più white buildings, divided in big "galleries" built as art galleries, host different expressions of the new design, in which the product connects to culture, to emotion, to tomorrow's vision, thanks to the exhibition experiential lay-outs of great impact. Concept and art direction by Giulio Cappellini in collaboration with Gisella Borioli.
The most brilliant architects from the international panorama display their skills through their collaboration with the most renowned brands. To name just a few: Jean Nouvel for Methis, Paola Navone for Barovier & Toso, Marcel Wanders, Matteo Thun, Carlo Colombo, Piero Lissoni, Cristophe Marchand and others for Alcantara, the Campana brothers for Veuve Clicquot and Cosentino, Marc Sadler for Karol, Vicente Garcia Jimenez for Foscarini, Tom Dixon and others.

This cream of a crop is joined by the special projects such as the fashion-design installation by eight up-and-coming artists, supervised by Franca Sozzani, the path among the world's young talents suggested by Elle Décor international, the reality-loft designed by Diesel in collaboration with Foscarini and Moroso, the doll's house by Nina Zupank, the Heart Plate 2010 installation created by Alessandro Mendini and produced by Flaminia for the Milan's municipality.

A very important and significant new entry is the one by Flos, which in an exclusive 1.000 square-meter pavilion develops a new concept in terms of style and technology and which contributes towards the common areas simulating a futuristic landscape with the amazing and gigantic Arco lamps, recalling streetlamps, designed by the Castiglioni brothers.

INNOVATION/IMAGINATION
FACE TO SUPERSTUDIO PIÙ
VIA TORTONA 54

This year's latest and newest development of the Design Week in via Tortona and adjacent areas is the comeback, in a restored form, of an area of the former-Ansaldo space, the factory overlooking via Tortona, which has been dismantled for years and is waiting to be transformed into the Museum of Photography and which the Milan's municipality has destined for the time being to satisfying the increasing necessities of creativity in all its forms.

Innovation/Imagination is a project which turns the long and fascinating halls of the location, placed on the ground and on the first floor, in a luminous and open path, lined with regular different-sized stalls, hosting the new expressions of international design. Sometimes brand-new names, consistent and experimental offers, sensorial installations, cutting-edge designers, cross-merchandise and also a photographic exhibition with artworks created by international designers and artists, presented by Lumas.

An unexpected event, which will only last one night, will represent the perfect occasion for a lavish opening party on the night of April 13th.

A hot-house full of surprises and discoveries, also Innovation/Imagination develops itself with a formal rigor aiming at mitigating the differences, at setting in order a creative field which by its own nature demands freedom and no-limits. Organized by Slide Events, the event relies also on the collaboration with Superstudio for the art direction e coordination.

The location has been recently restored, keeping intact its industrial architecture, repainted in white in all its areas. The several big windows, distinguishing all the halls, have been secured with an aesthetic and functional intervention by simply screening them with big panels in transparent polycarbonate. The same panels which also divide the stalls playing with the transparency effect.

In short, Innovation/Imagination is:
. 4.000 square-meter availability, divided in two halls on the ground floor and two communicating halls on the first floor
. Approximately 20 selected exhibitors

HOME AND SPA DESIGN
SUPERSTUDIO 13
VIA FORCELLA 13/VIA BUGATTI 10

The new home, bathroom and spa trend is the common thread of the Salone, hosted for the second year in the famous photographic studios of Superstudio 13, the historic center for image and fashion services.
After the success of the past edition, which occupied only a part of the spaces, the event, organized independently by My Exhibition, has boomed and it now spreads over the entire location and a part of the outdoor area.

Home and Spa Design offers all the new technologies and the furnishings for a private wellness space and for the bathroom area. The aim is to convey emotions through a path made of projects, situations and suggestions, alongside eco-friendly materials, recyclable objects, innovative technologies linked not only to "wellness" but also to the future of the whole wellness environment.

The installations, which occupy distinct areas, experiment with a new formula in order to talk about a thorough habitat, touching upon themes concerning design, eco-sustainability, technology and quality of life through ten thematic projects. The ten installations, almost as many houses, made with the collaboration of important Italian companies, are divided in: four Home Spas, four Wellness Bathrooms and two Outdoor designs.

Home and Spa Design distinguishes itself from the other exhibitions because it puts on display finished architectural projects. All the interiors of the installations are arranged with extreme care, every material, product, component possesses a history and a research behind it which all together concur to define the project itself. Every installation is designed by a different architect or firm, selected among the most prestigious names of the wellness architecture.

A new format and a new exhibition and communication strategy, created by Carlo Matthey and produced by My Exhibition, to put on display materials and design products linked to the latest trend: the wellness business.

In short, Home and Spa Design is:
. 1.800 square meter availability, divided in 10 halls and 3 studios on the ground floor and 2 spaces in the outdoor area
. approximately 40 exhibiting firms
. 10 architecture firms specialized in wellness design
. lounge on the first floor with terrace
. Superstudio Café bar/restaurant with outdoor terrace
. Several attended parking lots
. admission is restricted to professionals and to a selected public.
