An award for the most best architecture project using ceramic tiles
Cersaie 2012 will honour the best works of architecture produced in Italy using Ceramics of Italy branded tiles. The jury will consist of Sebastiano Brandolini, Michele Capuani and Cino Zucchi.
The first architecture competition for Italian ceramics has been launched. Called La Ceramica e il Progetto, it is open to architects and interior designers who have created works of architecture that make substantial use of Italian ceramic tiles. The submissions will be assessed by a jury consisting of renowned architects and designers Sebastiano Brandolini, Michele Capuani and Cino Zucchi. The deadline for submissions has been extended until 16 July and the award ceremony will be held in Bologna in September during Cersaie 2012.
The competition is open to building, remodelling and architectural restoration projects in the three categories of residential architecture; commercial and hospitality architecture; and institutional architecture and urban design. The projects must have been carried through and completed in Italy between January 2010 and January 2012 and must use Italian ceramic tiles produced by companies participating in the Ceramics of Italy programme.
The projects will be judged by a panel of three renowned architects and designers.
