1) The Material Gap
Join us for a special talk during Stockholm Design Week with Italian furniture producer Giulio Cappellini and Swedish designers, researchers and experts.
Time: 18-19.30, February 10
Place: Kammarsalen, Berns, Berzelii Park, Stockholm
The whole design industry is confronted by the challenge to find a new path for a sustainable development. But how do we do that? The Material Gap is a speculative discussion on how to bridge the gap between the material laboratories and the design industry. How can we apply material know-how in the design process?
Do we need a new culture of collaboration where we share knowledge and networks?
The discussion is a part of a long term process with the aim to bring disciplines and knowledge together. The design is to create a platform for creative collaboration.
